We have all been profoundly moved and inspired while watching Olympic level gymnastics on television.  Watching athletes interact with parallel bars, rings, high bar and floor has always given me an unparalleled desire to create with my body.  It widens my gaze, quickens my pulse and drives me to become more. More flexible, more powerful, more agile, more connected… more ripped! Gymnastics does not accept mediocrity.  Gymnastics laughs in the face of a sedentary world and demands your best.

While it’s never too late to learn, my mother enrolled me in gymnastics for few years when I was young.  I loved it so much that when it was dinner time, I would walk down the hall and to the kitchen on my hands. That passion has carried through to my adult years day where I am constantly on the hunt for creative places to do handstands.  Kitchen counters, up stairs, on railings… every place draws new excitement for me.  It builds a body awareness you can’t find anywhere else and immediately breaks me out of an otherwise sedentary routine.

One of the first things  I ask when I begin training a new art form is, is it sustainable?  Will it carry me through my 30′s, 40′s, 50′s and beyond?  Can I safely but enthusiastically practice it for a lifetime?  With the right training in gymnastics, I have found that we can. I have been fortunate enough to train under a few of the World’s master hand balancers, as well as other gymnastics masters  who have turned  training into a finely tuned science.  Did you know you can build unfathomable strength, muscle and ability without ever stepping foot into a gym or lifting weights? I have so much to share whether through teaching or performing in your next film or live stage show.  One of the beautiful things  about gymnastics training is there is always a place to begin, right where you are.  If you’re curious, book a session with me to discover some of the secret tools and techniques that gymnasts reach spectacular feats of strength.
